Dear friend of Toledo Opera,

Since its founding in 1957, loyal supporters have helped us build an opera company that has a national – even an international reputation – by presenting the finest artists in productions of the highest quality.

However, we cannot rest on our laurels. Toledo Opera is poised to move to a higher level of service to the community. The challenge before us is to increase our endowment, expand our educational programs, and continue the development of young talent, while making our city more vibrant, exciting and attractive to new businesses and people.

Toledoans, like citizens in other American cities, have always demonstrated spirit and loyalty in their support of the arts, recognizing that the arts are an essential part of the “personality” of Toledo and add immeasurably to our quality of life.

We at Toledo Opera hope you will participate in the Crescendo Campaign as generously as possible. An investment in the arts is an investment in our community and a vote of confidence in our future. Together let’s make Toledo a city recognized for its dynamic energy and vision!

Campaign News

It’s official! Toledo Opera has raised the first $1 million in its Crescendo Campaign  – Building for Opera! This is the first capital campaign the Opera has launched in over a decade. With Toledo Opera’s 50th anniversary fast approaching, the board and staff set a goal to ensure the fiscal stability of the Opera’s future. Ticket revenues and the base of contributed and corporate support is not sufficient to support the important work we are doing in northwest Ohio. In order to maintain our high artistic standards and continue expanding our educational programs, the Crescendo Campaign must achieve its goal.

Thank you to all of you who have already made a gift to the campaign. Your support is vital to our ability to make this critical leap forward.

"This season led off with a winning Le nozze di Figaro. It was immediately clear that Mozart was in good hands. General Director Renay Conlin has promulgated high standards. Operatically minded visitors should not overlook the worthy Toledo Opera."
